- This course teaches students to refine their digital imaging skills using Photoshop while learning channel mixing, advanced layering, and masking techniques. Topics include color management, optimization of the toolbox, an introduction to large-format printing, and the use of specific photographic methods and controls to create and manage imagery in an all-digital environment. Students will develop critical thinking skills to analyze diverse cultural, intellectual, philosophical, ethical, and aesthetic concerns of the digital photograph.

Methods of Evaluation
- One each, mid-term and final exam using a combination of multiple choice, true/false, and short answers to evaluate the student's grasp of techniques and concepts covered in the course content.
- Participation in lab discussions and class critiques of both artist works shown and classmate works presented.
- Bi-monthly, in-class exercises demonstrating practical knowledge of Photoshop techniques from course content.
- Final portfolio including an artist's statement and an oral and visual presentation reflective of a combination of material and techniques covered in class including creativity and personal expression.
