CAM Based CNC Multi-Axis Programming Using NX


Course Description

NX is an advanced fixed-axis and multi-axis milling course designed for CNC programmers who machine simple to complex parts with fixed and variable tool capabilities. Students will learn how to program fixed and variable axis tool paths by creating workflows for machining contoured parts, high-speed machining methods, milling holes, thread milling, and milling turbine blade-type parts.

Student Learning Outcomes

  • Produce tool paths from advanced surface geometry to create word address programs.
  • Produce tool paths from advanced part geometry to create word address programs for multi-axis machining centers.
