FAQs About the New Bookstore

Here are some answers to common questions – including how to find your required course materials and how to use financial aid for purchases.

• How do I find my required course materials?

  You can purchase all your books and materials through the online store at . We've made it easy for you to find the items you need for each class.

  • You can search the for course materials by class, or enter your CWID to see a list of your courses and required materials.
  • You will also find a Follett Bookstore tile in the Apps section of  that will take you to a personalized page on the Bookstore website, where you can review and purchase all course materials for your classes. 
    • Follow the instructions to select a quarter and view the materials for the classes in which you've registered. 
    • You can hover your cursor over each listed item and click to view more details before deciding to purchase. 

  

• How do I use my financial aid at the Bookstore?

  During the checkout process, you can select “Financial Aid/Scholarship” as your payment method if you have an award that provides funds for these purchases.

  • Follow the instructions to enter your CWID and apply the aid that's available for you to use.
    • You'll see a list of "accounts" that shows specific types of aid that you have been awarded
    • Use other awards FIRST, if available, BEFORE using these three in the order listed here:  "California Promise," then "New Promise" – and always use Pell Grant funds LAST.
    • Certain items, such as souvenirs or clothing, may not be eligible for purchase with financial aid. The online store will flag these during checkout and you'll have the option to use another payment method, such as a credit card.
  • If you have unused financial aid funds that were previously eligible for Bookstore purchases, they are being transferred to your account with the new store.

• Can I rent textbooks at the Bookstore?

  Yes. Textbook rentals will be an option for most adopted materials, and you can choose to rent during the purchasing process on the website.

• How do I purchase supplies and clothing online?

• Can I purchase technology through the new Bookstore?

• Can I purchase a gift card for the Bookstore?

  Gift cards are available for purchase on the Bookstore website and will be available in the campus store when it reopens. Visit the Bookstore website for . 

• How are materials shipped, and can I get tracking information?

  All shipments will be made via UPS or US Postal Service. Tracking information is provided with the order confirmation email. You can and on the Bookstore site.

• Can I have purchases shipped to a P.O. Box or to international addresses?

• How long will it take to receive my online order?

  Most shipments of physical materials will be received within 2-5 business days in the greater Bay Area. Expedited shipping is available for an extra charge.

  • Most items will be shipped directly from your on-campus bookstore, but a larger product selection will be available online and could be fulfilled by another Follett location or directly from a vendor which could extend delivery dates.

• What is the general return policy? 

  All refunds or exchanges require a valid receipt or packing slip. Shipping and handling fees are not refundable. You’ll find all the on the Bookstore site.

• Where can I sell my books?

• How do I apply for a job to work at the Bookstore?
